1976 Argyll Ship & Boat Building Co., Ltd. got into financial difficulties after SIOUX had been launched. The yard was taken over on a short term basis by J. Harker (Shipyards) Ltd, Renfrew and they completed the vessel. 11/11/1976 A severe fire in the accommodation when berthed at North Shields resulted in the loss of four crew members. SIOUX was repaired and returned to service in 01/1977. |

Disposal Detail |
Sank about 35 miles SE of Spurn Head after developing a leak. Crew took to liferaft and all but one were rescued by MARGARET CHRISTINA and landed at Hull. |
