Built to explore the Rio Bermejo, Argentina from River Plate as far as Oran (Salta) and the Bolivian border. 12/1/1857 sailed Paisley direct for River Plate, rigged as 2-masted schooner with engines, paddles etc dismantled. Also carrying two knocked-down barges.
