22/12/1859 Inverness Courier reported - On the morning of 4th inst. when with 8 miles of Peterhead, was struck by heavy sea which carried away bulwarks, stancheons, mainsail etc. She drifted until 07/12/1859 when the schooner "EBENEZER" a Danish vessel took the captain and crew off the wreck. Captain Baird says she must have gone down immediately after they had left her. |
