Sank quickly 3 miles off Girdleness, in Aberdeen Bay (Methil for Aberdeen with coal) after collision with steamer GIRNIGOE (310g/1895 McKnight, Ayr Yd46). The master was the sole survivor; his wife and two young sons as well as crew of eight drowned. The Admiralty Court held GIRNIGOE solely to blame. |
