18/1/1866 on voyage from Greenock for Singapore was struck by the ship COUNTY OF ARGYLE off the Tuskar Light and foundered within ten minutes. The crew of the stricken barque clambered aboard the ship and assisted with the pumps for the holed ship and all were saved. |
